I started the channel Fundie Fridays in summer of 2019 as a project of pure boredom when James was away at grad school.
I was raised both non-religious and with zero siblings so as a child I had a fascination with families like the Duggars. They were the opposite of my life in every way. That curiosity (or should I say, obsession?) is what led me to where I am today.
When I first started making videos I would do my makeup while I talked and eventually I retired the practice as it was far too difficult to do two things at once. But trust me, makeup+commentary videos were all the rage at the time!
I quit my day job and officially started working full time on Fundie Fridays in early 2021 after my Classically Abby video took off.

I am eternally grateful to my subscribers and Patrons for allowing me to do this full time and I hope to continue making content that resonates with you all for as long as I can!

HOWDY! I'm King James, the overly-caffeinated and fully-animated back half of Fundie Fridays!
While Jen was writing, editing and posting the very first episodes of the show, I was toiling away in a small dorm at Kansas State University working on my Masters degree in Human Resources!
I did eventually finish that degree in January 2021, and even got to use it for a whole year. But even just one year later, the channel had grown so large that Jen needed a full-time second set of hands to keep everything running. And so in January 2022 I took the bold, terrifying and SUPER rewarding leap into full time content creation!
Before that I enjoyed careers in everything from childcare to casework, from healthcare to human resources, and everything in between!
(Seriously, ask me about my year selling sex toys in college)
After an intense boot camp of scripting and editing, I now assist Jen with every part of the Fundie Fridays creation process! I've also been able to put my old office-work background to good use haggling with sponsors and such. I'M HELPING!
I'm also proud to have introduced a wider breadth of political talk and exploration to the channel! Nothing makes me happier than helping folks find the fun in holding their elected officials accountable
And in the meantime, I'm just a simple fella that enjoys pro wrestling, video games, and the Las Vegas Raiders. Thanks for stopping by!
